ANCHORMAN 2 IS OFFICIAL
It’s now confirmed and haven’t we all been waiting for this for so long?!
After Will Ferrell announced the early anticipated follow-up to 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy last week, writer/director Adam McKay took to his Twitter account to confirm and reveal the start of filming from February 2013.
”A few people questioning if Anchorman 2 is 100% for sure happening. Let me assure and assuage: it is. We’re writing now and we shoot in Feb (sic).”
It’s also been revealed that Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell will reprise their roles of Brian Fantana and Brick Tamland respectively. Ferrell will be co-writing with McKay on this sequel with McKay directing and Judd Apatow as producer. And as for the plot… there’s been many ideas circulating from a musical to a ‘survivors’ style theme where the news team crashes somewhere and must survive.Brace yourselves for another dose of The Sex Panther but it’s still going to be a while until we catch a peek of what’s to come! Awh.
